my sims stuck on the loading screen

so every time i try to log on the sims it takes forever, and i just finished going through my mods to find which mod was causing issues (another unrelated one but its been fixed now), which when i put all my mods back it was working perfectly fine, but after a bit i tried switching households but it would be stuck on the loading screen and then i would have to force quit after that. after that i tried logging on to my sims game and it would feel like i was stuck on the loading screen forever. ive tried finding answers but im just extremely frustrated because every time i get the same answer, and that is to take out all my mods, but i dont have that many game packs so its really boring if i don't play without mods, so taking them out is out of the question. ive also tried reading some of the technical stuff but i dont really understand technology that much so that's been really no help at all. can someone give me ideas on what i should do? i feel stuck and i REALLY do not want to take out my mods
