My sims won't do anything with eating, cooking, or mixing drinks

     So I recently started playing the Sims 4 again. After I made my new sim and started playing the game I came across a big issue. My sims couldn't consume or create food. Whenever I would press "Make Food" the action would commence, but only for a few seconds. Then, it'd instantly cancel and won't continue again. I resorted to cheating my needs because I couldn't do anything else. It's important to note that I did add a bunch of mods and cc into my game. However, after sifting through my script mods I don't think they're the problem.

    @Atwil72 Script mods are definitely not the only ones that can cause problems. Sometimes it's broken CC, or a broken non-script mod, or a complex mod that's missing files it needs to work properly. You can start at the Broken/Updated Mods & CC lists for recent issues and some broken mods that don't have updates available, but you might need to do a 50-50 . If you want to first confirm that it's mod-related, test vanilla .
