Hi @Kelsss28
Try the following
- Close the game
- Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
- Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry
- Start a new save game
- Check if you still have the error
- Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.
I had that same problem with the bug issue, and tried your suggestion. It worked for me
- crinrict3 years agoHero+@ladynienna21 Do you need help putting your stuff back to see what's causing the issue ? I'm assuming it was a mod/cc ?

What else can be done?
- crinrict3 years agoHero+@ladynienna21 What have you done ? Just the rename ? Have you tried copying back just your save and then see if it still works ?
If it does, then it's a mod and you need to find out which one.

Ok I renamed it like you said. I did notice after relaunching my game that it looks like I started over. Though after launching the game I went back and read your comment to someone else, you mentioned putting the mods back into the game after.. I left my mods in.. I tried taking my whole mod folder out before I reached out for help to see if that was the issue. But it seemed like when I put the mod folder onto my desktop, and put it back, it doubled the mods/cc. I did go through all my mod/cc folder just now and found a few that haven’t been updated in a very long time. So I’ll just leave those sit on the desk top until I hear back. I’m unsure now what to do with this updated name folder and how to work it with the mods. Not sure if it’s important to note that while I left the mods in the folder after the rename and launching the game, the cc/mods didn’t show up in game
- crinrict3 years agoHero+@Kelsss28 Mod folder needs to stay OUT until you verified that it works without mods and THEN made sure they are all compatible and updated.
Just follow the instructions above and let me know if it works on a new folder when NOTHING put back. Yes, it will be like you start the game for the first time. Try on a new save if interactions work.
If it does, you can start putting your stuff back but first only a copy of your save game. Mods need to stay out till the very last step of the troubleshooting step.
