PLEASE HELP! the options for "romance" aren't showing up for me

ok so I was off sims for about a week and I got back on yesterday, I created 2 new sims and got them to meet and all that. I wanted them to start dating so I do the modify relationship cheat. I go into the romance options and the only ones there are "ask about woohoo/romance interests" and "offer massage." The romance bar is literally full and they are best friends. Ive tried deleting the cache restarting the game, etc. and NOTHING has worked. idk what happened but its really annoying and I would love it if anyone could help me. They are both young adults and aren't related in any way,

    @eviexbright Hi! Did you try to reset the sims? Enable the cheats (testingcheats true) then SHIFT+ click on the sim. Choose the option to debug/reset.

    @eviexbright This usually happens if their sexual preference don't match.

    Have you checked on those in CAS or asked about their preferences ?
