@AalyahReed Yes. Rename The Sims 4 to The Sims 4_Old for example and then start the game. It will then recreate a new folder. Start a new save this way and see if the issue persist
If it doesn't you can start copying your files over from your _old folder (saves with already missing pets will not auto-fix)

Quick question @crinrict :
When I rename the Sims 4 folder to The Sims_Old should I move the folder temporarily to the desktop, or should I leave it where it is?

@AalyahReed Doesn't really matter. Whatever you feel safer with. You can just move The SIms 4 folder to the desktop without renaming it.. I find renaming helps with confusion but it's really just a matter of still having the old folder while forcing the game to create a new one. Either will achieve that.

@crinrict & @akulinajenya I was able to generate a new save with the Brindleton Bay families and their pets restored.
