Gameplay Mods: Broken, Obsolete, Unsupported
KEY: LE = last exception; obsolete = the mod is a bugfix that’s no longer needed (and may cause problems if left in!) OR the creator has replaced it with a different mod; unsupported = the creator won’t be updating it if it breaks; adopted = another creator has taken over the mod
General Categories
- CAS and Build/Buy CC wrench override/removal mods – from before the September 2025 patch
- Child and Teen Custom Aspirations – from before the July 2024 patch
- Custom Club Activities – from before February 25, 2025; do not appear in the menu
- Custom Freelance Careers – from before February 25, 2025; may cause households to not load
- Custom Holiday Traditions – if not updated after the July 2024 patch, tuning issues may affect gameplay
- Custom Loading Screens that use the EA plumbob – from before the October 2024 patch
- Custom Preference Categories – broken if NOT supported by Zerbu’s Custom Preferences Mod
- Main Menu Replacement Mods – from before January 23, 2025; after August 19, 2025, many will not work when there's a special EA online background being pushed.
- Many Presets, Sliders, and Default Replacements – see [MOD/CC RELATED] Sims have a Shattered Buggy Face
- Child/Toddler/Infant Height Mods, Sliders, and some presets – not function and may block saving
- many ts4script mods from before August 19, 2023 - cause households to not load
- "Washing Dishes" Fixes – obsolete and cause game issues now
- World-Copying Mods – none currently released are fully supported. NOTE: For this category of mod, if you remove these mods, those saves won’t be fully usable, and all such mods had previous known issues
