Hi all, Since last months update I have had a problem with making a new game - I can't start one. I click the "New Game" button on the main menu, make my sims in CAS, and when I click the check to go choose where they will live it loads in the last save I have played instead of making a brand new one. Am I somehow doing something wrong? I have tried repairing my game through Origin but it didn't fix anything. If anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate it :)

Let me know how that goes! I haven't seen any other reports of this happening so it's bugging me. <-- bad pun

Are you sure it's loading the last save, or are you perhaps just seeing the premades? You can be sure by checking Newcrest, if you've ever put houses in it. In a true new save, those houses will be gone.

Yeah I'm sure, I looked in Newcrest and the houses are gone. I also have a save just for building where I buldozed all EA lots in all worlds, and when that's the last save I've been on and I start a "new game" they are also all gone. It definitely loads the last played save :(

I can't recreate this in my game, selecting "New Game" (not the Play triangle, which is intended to load your most recent save). I have several saves, but it loads a true new save, with the Maxis houses and premades and with empty lots where Maxis leaves them empty. You haven't selected Play (the triangle) instead, I take? Have you tried without mods installed, or tried Repair Game?

ETA: Ugh. Forgot about the bug if you don't house that Sim. Now I have to go look up Crin's fix for losing the "New Game" and "Load Game" buttons. Whoops.

No I'm definitely not pressing the triangle to play. I have tried repairing through Origin and it didn't do anything. I haven't tried it without using mods though, and I do have a few. So I'll take them oit and try it :)

Okay try removing your mods.

If that doesn't work, I think you might have to reinstall your whole game.
