Re: Gallery glitch sims 4

@nadineabdoun Are you playing with any mods or CC in your Mods folder? Please test without them:

Exit Sims 4 then drag your Mods folder to your desktop. Then delete the file called localthumbcache from Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. If you think you might accidentally forget to exit without saving after testing, copy your Saves folder to your desktop too, to back it up. Now open Sims 4 and see if you still have the problem. If you don't, you can start the process of figuring out what from your Mods folder was causing it.

    Hi @luthienrising ,

is there any other alternative ? Maybe a good app recommendation that can find my broken cc and mods ? I use a lot of them I have around 40k files

@nadineabdoun You could use Better Exceptions to generate a report on your Mods folder, but no mod/app is capable of finding all broken mods. This is especially the case for UI mods: a mod like BE can tell you when there's a newer version, though. You could try using BE to see what it reports, but if it doesn't solve your problem, you will have to do a 50-50.

Unfortunately, with that big a Mods folder, there's a high chance that you've also got duplicate files, multiple versions of a mod, and the like. There could be other advantages to taking the time to go through your Mods folder and clean it up. You might find much better game performance after weeding it out, and set yourself up to not end up with a completely broken game later.

    Hi!

Sorry for the late reply, but do you think if I delete sims and re downloaded the game it will fix the glitch?

@nadineabdoun Your issue with the Gallery is with the UI display. It has nothing to do with any content on it or in your game or Tray folder; that content doesn't touch the UI. You'll need to deal with your Mods folder as the most likely cause is an outdated mod in it.

To test that that's the case:

    1. Exit Sims 4 then drag your Mods folder to your desktop.
    2. Then delete the file called localthumbcache from Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4.
    3. Now open Sims 4, select New in the Main Menu, and see if you still have the problem.
    4. If you don't, you can start the process of figuring out what from your Mods folder was causing it.

NOTE: If you don't do all parts of this test, you won't be seeing if a mod is causing your issue.

Hey! My community gallery isn't even showing up! I've followed these steps but it doesn't even appear anymore. I just have my personal gallery, nothing else. Any ideas? Thank you for any support you can offer.
