I'm about to try this, but how do I rename that address? When I try, my computer tells me it can't find that file. I'm not very tech-savvy, so I'm likely doing this wrong, lol. Also, are you sure I can still access my save files after I do this? Thank you!

This unfortunately did not resolve the issue for me. My game still freezes when aliens are involved.
I can get to the files where my saves and mods and things are, but I don’t know how to change the name of the folder😞
Yes, I'm on PC. I just tried again a second time, renaming the file to "The Sims 4_Old" and repairing the game and this time it seems to have worked 🙂 I can create aliens and age them up. I was unable to test giving birth or getting abducted, however.
I was also able to move my mods and saves back and aliens are working, but realized a script mod is causing the issue. Will work on figuring out which one it is. Thanks :>

@jazimon hi, have you managed to locate the faulty script mod? I've tried repairing the game (it wouldn't let me rename The Sims 4 file because it said it was open somewhere even though the game was closed and the EA app as well), but nothing worked. I think removing that script mod is the only way I'll actually be able to play with aliens. Let me know, thanks!

@luthienrising yes, i did but i've updated all the mods and it hasn't fixed my problem. I'm starting to believe it's a cc/preset problem because without all mods the alien cas works fine. i have a lot of cc and mods and the 50/50 method, including cc's would take ages.
@virgo_theergo Start by testing only CC body parts.
UPDATE: I ended up trying the 50/50 method and I can confirm, in my game, it was a set of default replacement for alien eyes. More precisely, the PYXIS Aloha Eyes GTW Defaults. I will contact the creator and ask them if they still update the cc. In the meantine, @luthienrising if you'd like to report that in the Broken Mods and CC report, it would be great. I trying use this 50/50d as well. , theSoulmate_Eyes_2020__DEFAULT__Alien.package Have the same problem，Alien's eyes default can cause the game to get stuck.
@aojiaodaren Those were updated last year. Try the newer version.
