1. Will need to test this if I can duplicate. Did you ever have issues with this before ?
2. There have been reports of Sims travelling in groups but never for active careers. Since you said you remove your mods/cc, did you also try a new save game game on a vanilla folder or just the same save with different families ?
3. Did you age it up before having Growing together installed or after ?
