Recycler error when moved

I’ve been seeing last exception errors since the last patch related to moving the recycler. Initially i was told it was from having the move object cheat on but ive also had it happen with it off and it never happened before this last patch.
i have all Eps, all Sps except StarWars and Paranormal and the dust bunny & plant kits & the bathroom clutter plus a few others.
I do play with mods and a little bit of CC but ive ruled that out.

@delphy35z   That is so frustrating!  I really appreciate your patience as we try to figure out what's happening.

Edit: I was having the same error you encountered and another friend suggested opening the .txt file and deleting the first line.  I didn't have a LE file so I tried it with my Game Version file and it worked.  So weird!  Could you try opening the LE text file, deleting the first line, then saving and then try attaching the file?

@delphy35z   Thanks for sharing that.  It looks like there might be a CC item that is throwing the error.  Do you possibly have a CC fabricator and / or recycler in your game?  If so, there could be something being thrown off in the tuning related to the bucks system for bits and pieces.  If you do have cc for one or both, try removing it and see what happens.

Edit:  One other thing regarding CC, is it possible that you recycled a CC item?  If so, perhaps it was something that did not have a bits and pieces value set for it?

These may seem like silly questions but I just want to cover the bases.  Have you tried replacing the recycler?  Have you tested this on multiple lots?  Tested in other saves?

If the LE is still being thrown, you don't have those cc items, and you get the LE on different lots / different saves, then I think your best best is to do a complete reinstall.  It's quite possible some files, like the bucks_utils, have been corrupted.  I would hope a reinstall would fix that.

@JonaO703 Nope no CC anything related to Eco or recyclers. Really my CC tends to be limited to clothing, makeup and a few assorted person items and a tiny bit of furniture or clutter items.

it was happening on multiple lots over several saves. And i did try replacing the recycler. Maybe once Im doing sorting out my neighborhood that im doing ill try a reinstall. Sigh 😔

@delphy35z   Darn!  I was really hoping that was the culprit.  By the way, I was basing my guess on these two lines from the LE.

    "<TuningLoadFinished>True</TuningLoadFinished><BadObjectCC>False</BadObjectCC>"

"Exception thrown while calling remove on object_Fabricator:0x01f8106fadd91422 (AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'bucks_tracker')"

These are what made me think CC could be playing a role.  Even if the recycler isn't CC itself, I wonder if you may have recycled a CC item that threw off the bucks system?  Do you have any mods that add items to the game?  Something you might purchase through the phone or computer that shows up in your sim's inventory?  It could've been something that you may not have realized was a CC item.    Again, this is all just a guess.  I wish I knew the exact answer for you.

If / when you do decide to do a reinstall, make a backup of your TS4 folder first and please test in a fully clean save to see if you have the LE before installing any CC/mods or adding in your existing saves.  Let us know if the LE occurs in the newly installed version.  If you don't get the LE, then you could test copying / pasting one of your current saves from the backup folder to the new saves folder and whatever mods / CC you need for it, then look for the LE again.

@JonaO703 Yeah I am not looking forward to a reinstall but I will definitely save a copy of my whole game folder if/when I do it. As for objects added to the game I know I have a few but not many because I'll download them and then not use them. I do have a Mod that allows more objects to be bought through the phone without the grocery delivery which often goes poof. That mod is by Bienchen. But I tend to sell objects not recycle them if that makes any difference. I didn't even see this problem until I was editing empty homes I think.

@delphy35z   I know!  It's a long and tedious process doing a reinstall, testing the game, adding back saves, moving files and so on.  I do feel your pain.  But hopefully it's worth it to make sure the game is running properly and to get rid of that pesky LE?

@JonaO703 I know its the maybe part that bothers me. I've had times in the past with previous sims game as I've been a simer since the first generation where I had to reinstall only to not fix the issue that was happening. That is the part of the reinstall I truely dislike.

    Hi,

I hope I'm doing this correct, as this my first time posting something on here.

Since yesterday I've encountered the exact same issues. I also get almost the same error message you provided in the text-file and in the Better-Exceptions screenshot (mine also points to the bucks_utils and bucks_tracker)

I've read through your thread and followed the trouble-shooting steps from you and @JonaO703 .

The only thing which I did not try yet was re-installing. I don't know why but the issue is resolved once I place a household on the lot and enter build-buy through there. It only occurs when I enter build-buy directly from the map (on lots with and without households.) - this work-around would be ok with me for now. I was just curious:

Did re-installing resolve the issue for you?

Also: the exact same thing happens for the fabricator - not just the recycler (so these two objects are effected.)

    Kind regards.
