Sims 4: CAS edit 3 dots (...) are gone

When trying to play the Sims I wanted to create an identical copy of the sim I am playing because I took a Sim from the gallery (to use as my base) and turns out this sim already had skills. I want to start fresh without skills or experience for this sim and I read a simple way was to just make an identical twin/copy of that sim, and I have done this before in the past. The problem is that I have not played this game in a while and when I last time messed with my sim there were 3 dots next to my Sims thumbnail in CAS, which is how you make an identical twin. However, recently there is no 3 dots to make an identical copy of a certain sim... which is very annoying because I do not want to remake the sim with a randomized “twin”. I attached a picture but this is not the sim I would like to twin, it is just an example sim.

I would like to clarify I do not use mods or CC to my game. I have a Mac Apple product laptop. Can anyone help please? Did EA remove this feature or is it a glitch on my end. I have done updates and repair on origin but the problem still occurs.

    @RissaBells

    Click the New Sim button. Several options has been added over the years and they are all found there. Play with Genetics is what you are looking for.

  • @RissaBells Hi! I think you might be thinking of Sims 3?  I just got it through the EA sale and noticed what you were talking about.

    This is not an option in TS4.  As @jpkarlsen said, you can use the "play with genetics" option to create a twin.  However, that may not copy all of the clothing / style options you've set.
