sims 4 game freezing

I have had this issue the past couple of days where I will be playing and my game randomly freezes. It does not crash or anything and when it freezes I can still move around and press buttons. When I try and save and exit the game it'll just stay on the saving screen forever and I have to force quit the game. I have tried repairing the game and taking out all of my mods but nothing has worked. I am on Mac as well.
