Planned events not starting (Calendar)

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.106.148.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All expansions, game packs, and stuff packs
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Plan a goaled event in the calendar for a set time (at-least 1-2 hours ahead)
What happens when the bug occurs? The event does not start. 1 hour beforehand there is a notification that the event ‘will be starting soon’ but then after an hour passes, and the time of the planned event happens, no event occurs at all.
What do you expect to see? An event starting, as it always has.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. This was not happening before the Crystal Creations update.
Events no longer work when planned in the calendar. The events can successfully be planned but when the time comes for it to actually start, nothing happens and the the day just passes as normal. The event can still be seen in the calendar throughout.
I did some testing and found that the issue still persisted without Mods/CC, however I was able to eliminate it with a brand new save.
I think it may have been some bad code/scripts which got baked into my save (which was a rather long running save), perhaps from prior mods being installed and previously saved with (?), so I will just have to delete it and start fresh.
