Sims 4 game options blank, also shows CC when there is no CC

So, at first I just had an issue where when I tried opening the game options in the game I couldn't see the contents of any tab and there was a red dot next to them. I thought it might've been my mods so I went through and updated all of them, no fix. I decided I would delete all of my CC as maybe in some weird way that could be doing it? But no, no fix. I took all the mods out of the Sims 4 folder and as I was opening the game again to see if it was fixed, the game showed me all of the mods and CC I had deleted, still in the game. No matter what I did this kept happening (even with the game options issue). I've repaired my game multiple times and uninstalled/reinstalled twice now and I still can't figure it out. Help? I play the game in Origin. I'm also not able to close the window, I have to end task in task manager.

@Mopoke100  Did you uninstall the game before installing it again? Did you use a registry cleaner like ccleaner THEN install the game? The Windows uninstaller does not always do a good job. I sometimes use a unistaller called REVO uninstaller.

  • I even tried uninstalling Origin and reinstalling, I have no idea how to fix this

@Mopoke100  Please list the file path for your saves as it shows in-game (as described in the link I posted before).  Please also post the file path to the Mods folder that no longer has any custom content in it.  You can get the full file path by right-clicking on the Mods folder and selecting Properties > General.

@Mopoke100  Are you saying you can't click Load Save?  If you can click that, please do so, then hover over the folder icon next to the save name and copy the file path that shows there.

Whether or not you can do that, please also manually look for any mods.  Open a File Explorer window, click This PC in the left panel, and double-click on the C drive.  From there, open this path:

Users > [your username] > Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4

If you see a Mods folder inside, with actual mods inside that, move it to the desktop.  If you get an error or a notice that files are being copied, let me know.

If you don't find a Sims 4 folder or the Mods folder inside it is empty, click OneDrive in the left panel of the File Explorer window, then open Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and let me know what you see inside.
