Sims 4 Update/mods help!!!!!!

I have a question regarding mods. I hadn’t been on my sims in a couple weeks and then I went on and it seems like A LOT of my mods are just gone. But they are still very much in my mods folder. I understand that if the game updated itself that it could be outdated mods but I even tested it and one of the clothing items that I remember having I went and deleted that file from my mods folder and went back to the place I got it from and redownloaded it and it wasn’t an updated one. Someone please help bc this has never happened before and I have so many mods!

@alyssaswan14 Ah okay, I see it now… are your timestamps actually part of the file name but after the .package extension? I can see how that could break it since it would no longer be recognized as a .package file. If redownloading is working, great! You might also try just renaming the files to remove everything after .package, but if you use the Curseforge mod manager that may break its ability to track them since you generally need to leave them with the name and location it sets.

@alyssaswan14 I've merged your topics together.

Are you using a mod manager that isn't Curseforge? Nothing should be renaming your files like this. Any renaming of files by a mod manager can lead to duplicates (and you've got a duplicate there of the Aladdin set), but this is pretty special. Whatever software is renaming your files needs to go.

@PipMenace now im having a problem on origin. i am trying to redownload the game since sometimes when i go on origin it says sims 4 isn't downloaded so i have to redownload it which im used to. but NOW it's saying my disk doesn't have room to download some packages which is far from true i have siginificant storage left. ive tried restarting my computer, deleting origin and redownloading, and nothing works.

Since you’re using Origin, I assume you’re on Mac?

If you go to Macintosh HD->Users->[your user account]->Applications do you see The Sims 4 app and a folder called The Sims 4 Packs? Just trying to see if the game is actually uninstalled or if Origin simply isn’t detecting it.
