Story progression influence npc career always ends up as fast food employees

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? Svenska
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.83.24.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except batuu
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try to influence an npc to switch career by the new feature story progression.
What happens when the bug occurs? Every time I’ve tried to influence npcs to get a job or switch career they end up working shift in a fast food restaurant. That really isn’t what a I want all my npcs to do. Shouldn’t they get jobs based on their traits, skills or degrees?
What do you expect to see? Npc sims getting different kind of jobs based on their aspirations, skills, traits or degrees.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

    I've done this several times--my Sim is a Global Superstar and I've decided that it's funny to have her Instant Besties Friendly Introduction the Paparazzi and convince them to switch careers--and they do end up with a variety of jobs. So far I've gotten:

    1. level 1 painter
    2. level 1 writer
    3. shelf stocker
    4. baby sitter
    5. secret agent

    And more that I don't remember.  I do have mods, but I have MCCC, UI Cheats, Wonderful Whims, Meaningful Stories, and small tweaks and bugfixes. Maybe this is a mod issue. Have you tried without mods?

    (My Sim is at 19 out of 20 acts of friendly interference, BTW.)

    Oh, good it works for you. It may be a mod issue since I haven’t tried without mods. I recently added littlemissams mod to hire certain npcs for restaurants so it may be related to that. I have to try without.
