Temporarily removing unused CC from Mods folder

So is there a programme or a way that someone knows of that makes it easy to remove cc from the mods folder that is not used in the game and leave the files used in the game?
I don't want the unused CC to clog up the game. I don't wanna delete it cause I wanna put it back at some point when I'm redoing my sims' looks. I have too much to do it though S4S and I wouldn't recognise everything anyway in that programme.

  • You could use Sims 4 Tray importer to identify the files.

    Program:

  • @Bananas_45 thanks I have it. It's still lots of work but I guess the easiest.
  • Sorry to raise an older thread like a zombie but my question is just an expansion of this.

I'm also looking to identify unused CC, but I have a lot of fun editing all of my townies as well to make everyone look nice, whom I don't save to my library. Is there anything that will give me a list of all CC in use across all sims? I don't care about active vs. inactive, just looking for what CC I've never put on any sim. (Or rather what's in use, and I can remove that which isn't.) I've got generations of sims and over 4600 CC (takes a while to load), I don't see a way to do that by hand.
  • @Aelaen The Tray Importer is the closest but from my experience it doesn't list all cc. :s
