The doctor can not calibrate the x-ray machine
Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Xbox Series X
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? My game is fully updated with everything
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Get to Work, Vampires, island living, city living, this is all I can remember, but I do have a lot of them.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I don't know your programming, so I don't know how you can find it, other than playing as a doctor in the Get to Work DLC.
What happens when the bug occurs? I get the daily task to calibrate the x-ray machine. I go to the x-ray machine, the option to calibrate the machine shows up, but the sim gives the bubble above their head, that they can not reach or get to the machine. I did use the cheat, bb.enablefreebuild. I modified a few things, but did not change a lot of the original hospital.
What do you expect to see? I expect the game to work. It has been posted that this issue has been fixed, but it has not been fixed. If your programming tells me to get my sim to do something, they can actually do the thing that the game is telling me to do, would be nice.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Every time an update comes from your company, everything goes, haywire. It doesn't matter if it is a sale, a patch, or anything else. New update equals new problems and/or old ones to start happening.
Even within the scientific career I have seen a similar issue. When my sim gets to the milestone where the aliens show up. I am given a daily task to repair the computer that the aliens have damaged. But when I clicked on the computer, the option to repair does not show up, only the option to replace the computer shows up. As I mentioned before, I truly don't know your programming. But I believe that your game's programming has a lot of unnecessary rules, that clogs up any system or platform. Example? Any sim can build and launch a rocket into space. But in the scientific career, only a scientist can use the machine that creates the potions. If a sim is smart enough to build and use rocket science? Shouldn't they be smart enough to use any science? Your game's programming has a lot of redundant rules that are not needed, and are probably causing any gaming system to be overloaded. In the end causing numerous bugs. Please tell your programmers? Simple and uniformed programming always works. Complicated and erratic programming always fails. This is a simple rule found, everywhere. The more simple and uniformed something is? The better it works and longer it will last.
One last thought that just hit me. The Get to Work DLC, has programming that is different from everything else in the game. This might be causing these malfunctions. A good day and my best wishes to all.
