My sim got promoted to chief of police, and every time I go to work with her, the old chief is still there in the office and continuing to talk down to me like im not the same level as her lol maybe this is how it’s supoose to be, but I assumed that when I made chief, I would take her place in the office but still do the regular tasks. If she suppose to still be there or?
That seems to be the way the game works. Your active sim, regardless of rank, will always be the one solving the cases. But if you have another sim in another household in the career, any played sim that has made it to Chief, will show up as the Chief on any given day. I have 4 or 5 Chiefs in my main save and they seem to rotate when I am playing another sim in the career. They may even be one of the other sims, like a regular officer, receptionist, detective or cell minder as well.
