The sims 4: Highschool years bug

After the latest big update with the new colour swatches and the new info about the upcoming Expansion pack, I realised that the functional lockers in my highschool are TRANSPARENT. Plus the icon that shows the progress of the day in the high school is transparent an buggy too with missing small icons. Everything was just fine before the update. At first, I thought that was due to the update my save was bugged and so i deleted it and made a new one but nope, the bugs are still there. Please EA or somebody help. Thank you.

I don't have the University and Horse Ranch packs but I do have the High school years. I have checked ALL of my mods and updated them all but the problem still persists. The lockers are functional, they do work just fine. It's just that they are transparent. This became a bug a while ago like you mentioned and I have no idea what else i can do.

Yeah, this issue (sadly) probably isn't caused by mods and EA should take a look at it. :/ I didn't test the showers to see whether they work or not but I'm just building university housing for my sim and I can't use the showers I can woohoo in because they're just shadows on the floor which looks awful lol. I did test lockers numerous times because I play active high school all the time and they work, so same.

  • @Maljian @3iu7po0zax3u @Maljian If you can replicate with these steps, please let us know:

    1. Drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop.
    2. Run a Game Repair
    3. Launch Sims 4 send a Sim in a new save to High School.

@luthienrising Okay, I've done as you said and both issues disappeared. What should I do now though? If I understand things correctly, putting the old The Sims 4 folder back to Documents will restore my progress but the bug will reappear again? Do you have any advice what to do? I'd like to keep one save I play the most an stuff I had in my gallery but that won't probably work?
  • @Maljian Next step is to see if the new, fresh, mod-free, no-cache folder solves your issue in your previous save. Copy the save files out of the old folder into the new folder and see if the bug is resolved.

@KrystalFoxSimmer Did you delete the localthumbcache file? If you can replicate this with these steps, please head to bug reports:

    1. Drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop.
    2. Run a Game Repair
    3. Launch Sims 4 and reset your Options.
    4. Start with New to test if your issue recurs in a new game.
    5. If that works, exit and copy files out of your old Saves folder into the new Saves folder. Important: Don't just copy the old folder! You want to use the newly created folders.
    6. Launch Sims 4 and use Load to select an older save to test.
