The Sims 4 won't allow me to play?

So I recently updated my entire game after buying 2 SP's and I even updated my entire mods folder, however for some reason when I load into the game the entire screen is completely black and I'm unable to click on anything. So in order to close my game I had to force quit on my Mac. I'm genuinely  really confused as I made sure to update all my mods, since I have at least 15-30gb of mods? (Most of them are CAS or Build/Buy items) I rarely play the sims 4 anymore due to all the bugs after updating. If anyone knows what's happening and what to do, I greatly appreciate any feedback and help! (photo: below)
