The Sims 4 won't update to my new mods.

Question

I downloaded MCCC successfully, so I got confident and tried downloading some more mods and some CAS items. I pasted it all in the mods folder, but the game didn't register the new stuff. I thought MCCC was the problem, so I deleted it, but the game won't even register that I deleted MCCC. MCCC still works perfectly in game although it is not in my mods folder. I tried deleting the resource.cgf file or whatever it's called and reinstalling the game, but that didn't work. What do I do?

Thank you so much! I was putting everything in the wrong file. I didn't even notice that it was under the document file in the onedrive thing. I hope you have an amazing rest of your life.
