The university degree doesn't work with neighborhood story system

Hi, one of my sim asked about his career on pop up message, and my sim said to change his career, and I got a message back from him.

And then I activated this red haired guy.

He got a job as style influencer from career level 4. He can do as he is having 'connection' reward trait.

But he graduated university with distinguished degree for Art History.  This system is not compatible with DU pack. Is it supposed to be like this?
