The two life stages I have the least for is toddlers and children. I can't seem to find any good toddler hair . Maybe I'm not lookin in the right place ?
Also,I heard someone say this one but do not know if it's true. Can some of the older cc content be corrupted? If so,is it wise to rebuild the cc folders ?
In your search for toddler cc, I recommend being VERY selective if you look into toddler beds/frames. We've seen (on MC Command Center's
Support Discord) errors from a LOT of those since the June patches (there were 3, and one more patch since).
If you see any lastException.txt files in /Sims 4 talking about "prototype" and "set state" that means you have at least one toddler bed/frame that is not coded correctly for current EA game files. I know you didn't ask about beds, but this has been a very common error we have seen several times, and I know how cc browsing goes (ooh! shiny! ), so I thought it may be worth mentioning.
SOME of those "bed" files are fixable with Sims4Studios' Monster Under the Bed Batch Fix (under Tools). But it depends on how the creator made the bed in the first place, too. I've seen one player have it work on 22 beds, and I've seen one player who got it to fix 3 of their 16. Just FYI.
This kind of relates to your question about "corrupted cc" too. It isn't necessarily so much that it's corrupted, it's moreso that changes EA has made to game code (after those files were made) have rendered some parts of how those older files work invalid for current game scripting.
I don't use a lot of cc. 3-4 files, and only about twice that many actual mods. But I rub shoulders daily with several people who have TONS. They tell me file/folder organization and good record-keeping are KEY to keeping your /Mods folder in good working order.
What I'd consider "wise" would be to always check your download sites following any EA patch to see if anything you are using in your game needs, or has, an updated version. Mods get hit harder and more often than CC does. But it happens to both kinds of files, totally depending on what EA decides to include/change in a patch.
Anybody having lastException errors is welcome to bring those to our Discord for some interpretation help. That link above goes to our General Support channel. We'll check them for you whether you play with MCCC or not, but if you don't, you might want to mention that, because we'll most likely assume you do.
Hope this helps!
