tool and bbb

hi friends! i've never had a pc that could run mods before, but i've always dreamed of using tool and build better. i read the info on his website and watched his videos, made the mod folder, downloaded them, moved them to the mod folder, changed the settings in the game, restarted the game- and nothing shows up in the game. it's just unchanged. which i guess is better than broken! i found some things saying to remove a file that says cache in it in the main sims folder, that's not in my main sims folder. but that's the only fix i've seen. it is indeed the most recent version of the mods- as he removes the older versions after he updates them. i do understand that i've had a stroke so sometimes i don't follow a long line of instructions well, but i don't think i've missed anything?? 😭 it's not the end of the world if i can't use them, of course. if anyone has any suggestions, i'd greatly appreciate it.

  • laseycu you shouldn't have had to make a mods folder it should already have been in documents\electronic arts\sims 4. It looks like you might have put them in the program files directory.

homie, i love you. i'm sitting here watching video after video saying "if it doesn't exist, make one" and you are the first person to say DOCUMENTS?! i love you so much. i've moved everything and i'm going to try that now, thank you so much. it's really difficult for me to go through a bunch of reading since having a stroke, i'm severely dyslexic now lol. so i greatly appreciate you taking the time to answer!

Answer seems to have been given but relating to mods, custom content or even just your save files and other folders l are always found in pc > selected disk for the game > electronic arts > the sims 4. Double check the folder does exist and avoid creating new ones as they are generated folders that are created once you download and launch the game. Also don’t forget to check that mods are enabled, especially those with script mods !
