UI issues?

It probably is CC but when i was playing yesterday out of nowhere my ui stopped working at random, it would let me click on the Needs tab but wouldnt let me pull up the game options, skills tab, or anything else even though the game was working fine. At first I thought it was a photography problem as I saw someone with the same complaints but I started a fresh save today without using the camera and it still happened
