Why isn't the Go To School Mod working for me?I

I can't find the schools in my library. I did allow cc and I can find the option in the lot type: "Elementary school" and "High school" but when I press it nothing showes up.

The files of lots that you download from an external site, go straight into the tray folder. There can’t be any sub folders. I am just checking in case that is what is the cause of your issues.

Having the same problem just like Taehyungsgirl ,and I went to the link rosemow replied but I don't understand. Is that really because of the game patch broke the mod? Also spent hours to build a high school, cry :'(

(this is a LONG question, but i wanted to try and give as much detail as possible so that it would be easier for anyone who's kind enough to try and help me out!) so first of all thank you so so so much for this detailed tutorial, i would have been lost without it. secondly, i know these questions have been asked a ton and i've watched youtube videos, visited tons of sims 4 help websites/articles, but nothing seems to work. i'm having a few issues with this mod, the first one being that i can't set my school as an updated elementary school, just the old version. it doesn't show up in my list, but when i search the gallery for an updated elementary school it shows up in the filter list under Lot > Type. i have checked "include custom content" and am able to place the updated elementary schools into my world, but that leads to my next problem. the game doesn't recognize my school so i don't get the option to follow my sim, so i know you're supposed to go into build mode, change the lot type to random, exit build mode, go back in, and set it back to elementary school. the issue i'm having is that when i go to try and change the lot type, it is permanently set to elementary school. the drop down box is grayed out and i get a message that says "disabled for special venues" or something along those lines. i tried to find a new lot (my search criteria being Lot > Type > Elementary School and i've ticked the box that says "Include Custom Content") but every time i place the correct, updated elementary school, i can never change the lot type. this leads to me not being able to fix the bug that prevents me from following my sim to school which then just prevents me from using this mod altogether. then to top it all off, i try to place the elementary schools on new, empty lots to see if it is just the one particular lot that is causing the problem and that just makes all of the lots that i try to use unusable since i can't ever change the lot type after i place the elementary school. i can bulldoze the building, but the lot type just stays as Elementary School in the grayed out drop down box. to try and fix THIS issue i have to go have my sim buy the lot which changes it to retail and then sell it which lets me change the lot type (finally), but then i'm back to square one since the updated "Elementary School" option doesn't show up when i try to change the lot type, only the old version. i have downloaded v4 which is the most updated version of this mod that i can find and i even download lots that are made specifically for this mod. i feel like i am going in circles since nothing i try is working and it's driving me crazy. 99% of the solutions i have seen are all at least 10 months old and no one else seems to be having all of the problems i'm having at the same time, but i swear i've done everything right. i have spent literal days trying to find solutions to this problem and want to use this mod so, so badly, but i am starting to lose all hope that it's even possible. i am using a macbook pro if that helps at all. somebody please help!!! (i have the same issue with the high school too)

i followed the tutorial "Sims 4 Go To School Tutorial 2017 Everything You Need To Know" by misplacedmoo (the tutorial embedded in Zerbu's post about the mod) and scoured the comments for any help, but all of the solutions are old (i still tried but they didn't work)

My get to school mod wasn’t working even though I had downloaded it correctly and placed high school & elementary school lots from the gallery. After a few days of trying to figure it out, I realized that the lots from the gallery didn’t have the NPC stickers for the principal and the guidance counselor and they didn’t have the teacher’s podiums. Once I placed those into the lot, the mod started working. Make sure your schools have the NPC stickers and the teacher’s podium!

Hi I had a similar problem except for the fact that when I tried to change my build to a school, the option didn't come up, just residential, gym, lounge etc. I do have get to work but i installed that after so mod so that might be the problem. Does anyone know whats going on?
