I just want to give a warning and if Luth has time to test this too but I think all our beloved Selectable pets mods are Broken. I tested Charitycodes and the one from sims 4 studio and it will not let me select them at all. The only way I'm able to make pets selectable is to use Littlemissam's Littlehelpers mod and can only be used via Mailbox. So if you want to select your pets you either have to type a complex cheat or put a mailbox on the lot you're visiting which both requires Twixedmexi's all cheats mod. Luth will confirm this for me with she has time and tested it herself. Thanks Luth for doing this for us and happy to help give reports in my mod section. Hope this helps people too :)
