all of my data is gone...

i havent played the sims on my xbox in almost a year. i switched to laptop and much prefer it. however, there were some sims on my xbox gallery that i wanted on my laptop. so today i did just that. opened the game and uploaded the sims to the gallery successfully. a few hours later, i also wanted to upload a house i had built so i could download it on my laptop. same process.

however, when i opened my game this time on my xbox, i was greeted with the terms of service page. thought it was odd but accepted. then it asked for screen adjustment. still weird. then after that i saw that ALL of my saves were gone from over the years. i opened the gallery and all of my gallery saves were gone too. it was like i was starting the game fresh. so yeah i panicked and found out that many people were having the same issue months ago. but the issue was never resolved.

so is all of my data completely gone? was it corrupted? im so lost and confused. very upset as well because i had saves i had made from 2019 on there. its just jarring to think that all of my progress is gone and was for nothing. is there anything i can do, or do i just move on and play on my laptop forever?
