Can’t I have more than one save on console?

So I have a save file, and I wanted to start a new one without losing the old one. In the main menu, there is only load game or new game and it seems like starting a new game will overwrite the old one. I thought I was able to have more than one save on console?

    @_awkwardlezbeanHello!  You should have multiple slots for game saves, though there is a limit; for example PS4 has 10 slots.  If you select New Game, then you should have the option to save that game in one of the empty slots.

    I’m on pS5 so I should have 10 then. I was scared to continue with a new game incase it saved over my other file haha thank you!

    @_awkwardlezbeanIf you're really worried about losing the existing save, you could use a thumb drive to download it as a backup.  This may be something you want to do regardless, just to have the backup in case there is a system crash.  Have fun playing!

    I am begging you for more save slots .how come console can only have some while pc has way more
