Cant fully edit pets

I bought Sims 4, Dine out, Cats and Dogs Expansion pack and My First Pet Stuff Pack, but can't fully edit any pets.

I can make a mix breed so it's the two breeds I want, and I can set it's traits/personality. But I can't change anything else, not it's eye color, fur color, shape of it's head....nothing and it's the same for both cats and dogs.

I have tried deleting all the data for sims, I've tried uninstalling the whole set, I've tried uninstalling just the Expansion packs. I have soft reset my xbox, I've changed the internet connection. I even went as far to call Xbox support, and contact EA support but this issue still hasn't been fixed.

Can anyone help me?

    @zariel4drake9 The options to modify its appearance only appear when you click with the cursor on its body or its head (clicking on the body brings up some options, while clicking on the head brings up others, just like editing a sim).
