Cant redeem Desert Luxe Kit on console

It was announced today, 14th September that the Desert Luxe kit is free to all who own the base game but it's not showing anywhere in the kits tab or the store on Xbox. Is this just for PC players?

@cozybunnyxo The promotion is for Console as well. You can download the new pack from the main menu of the game. Please make sure you exit the game after downloading the new pack and then relaunch the game.

@PoptartJuniper The pack/kit doesn't show up in the game menu ( where all the other packs and kits are) or in the store. It's just not there. I've owned the game since 2014 so I'm not sure why it's not showing up for me.

What happens when the bug occurs? The main menu do not have the kits option and even the pack section is very limited
What do you expect to see? The kits options along with everything new and all the new pack and the new free kit “ desert luxe kit” not appearing ☹️
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.

can someone please help me i seem to be having a really annoying problem which i don’t know how to fix. So, my sims4 ps4 ( i bought it as a CD also it is the base game) is not showing the kits option at all, i have the pack option only on the main menu along with my home and that is it and even if i click on any pack it says that it is not available for purchase and i can not even see what is in the pack. Also, there is the new desert luxe kit which is free I can’t download it, i received the notification event and I can’t download it, it is not showing up on my main menu nor i can not find it on my playstation store. Can someone help me please I don’t have the kits option and i can’t download the new free kit, it is not showing up.

UPDATE: The desert Luxe kit is on my home page but I can not redeem it, it says unavailable to purchase.

Hi there @cozybunnyxo,

You won't find the kit in the Xbox store directly on the console, or in the pack/kit section in-game. Instead, when you launch The Sims, on the main menu of the game, there should be a tile for Desert Luxe on the left side that says Claim Your Gift. You can download the kit there for free.

I have the same problem, it's simply not there. I have the latest update and have tried restarting the console.
