Console computers and bookcases won't allow reading or writing
I've seen this on older threads that have all been labeled as fixed and read those threads, but none of them are fixing this issue on my Xbox series x. The computer does not give any option to write no matter what I do or where I place it or what I place around it. No bookcases inside the home whatsoever will give me any option for the Sim to interact with it so I can't get them to read and I can't purchase books. I'm not using any mods, only what is free to download and use. I tried to make a writer Sim but I can't even unlock the skills to read or write because the devices will not offer those options.

Have you tried replacing the computer and bookcases to see if you're able to interact with them then? If replacing them doesn't work, please try a brand new save file as well, let me know how this works for you.
