Does anyone know how to put things into the household inventory while building for ps4?

@Roseredgb You can press the X(Xbox) or Square (PS4) while having an item selected (movable)

  With the latest patch, we have added a new Controls Overlay Reminder that shows up throughout CAS, Gallery, Live Mode and Build Mode which should make it easier for new Simmers to jump in and not need to remember all the controls.
  
  If you don’t want to be reminded and you know all the controls by heart, you can turn off the Controls Overlay Reminder in the Game Options > Other menu
