This saddens me. It is/can be a really enjoyable game. But...

Releasing untested software is a big No-No in software development: You just DONT DO IT! To me, this indicates a problem with priorities. I have read of numerous repetitive bugs that as yet, remain unaddressed despite consumer requests to please, please please fix this. "React in Disgust"?

Again: priorities.

I will not be purchasing the upcoming expansion. Furthermore, I will be extremely reluctant to purchase ANY future EA titles.

Same thing. Since update 1.33 the game keep crashing all the time. I can’t play even 10 minutes without crashing. I got all add on packs, even pre order the new one. All my files are updated and since yesterday i cant play the game. Please release a new file update with the previous one, postpone the new expansion pack if necessary, but let us play our game.

Haha true since last update I'm having massive crashes and bugs with sound issues, you told me. On Twitter that the issue is with my console but I don't think so mate, even ubisoft fixed their sound issue today and you can't?, even I can't travel cuz it crashes can't switch to build mode from live one cuz it crashes can't have 7 sims in a household cuz I lt crashes, and I own all packs and yeah I'm asking Sony for a refund I want my 40 usd I paid for the preorder of your new EP is not worth it, so I'll give my money to a developer who really deserves it like CDPROJEKT RED

Thanks to everyone that has provided information and save files thus far.

At this point it’s frustrating enough to not be able to utilize a product that you’ve spent hundreds of dollars on, but now the suggestive “work arounds” are to play the Sims w/ no sound and hope for the best?

EA needs to understand that there are a lot of their players that don’t know how to utilize the forums or post their complaints and etc. So it’s not just a handful of us that are having these issues, it’s a massive problem. As they continue to promote their Snowy Escape on all the platforms, they should place their focus on getting this update fixed or at least providing better resolutions for the time being.

Mute the sound doesn’t work either, i don’t think cheats have anything to do with it because i don’t use any cheat and my game keep crushing. I muted all the sounds in the game, it crashed with 5 minutes playing.

I totally agree with this, and your earlier statement. There should have been a rollback within, let's say, 24 hours of these problems -- which, as somebody else mentioned, are probably quite massive amongst the gaming community, because we're only a fraction actually posting about it on this forum.

Come on guys we’re in the middle of a pandemic, many people are in lockdown included me. Release the previous patch (1.32) on ps4. 

I get suggested actions saying download the new update after the crash, when I check for a new update it says "I have the latest version" , I thought go home PS4 you're drunk.

I'm having this issue too, and my game never crashed until a few days ago. I noticed that it often seems to happen when lighting the fire in a fireplace or just after that, not sure if it's related. My game only crashes in live mode anyway so far. So frustrating, especially since the game takes so long to load!
