What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? City Living, Discover Uni, Get Famous, Get Together, Get To Work, Island Living, Dine Out, Jungle Adventure, Outdoor Retreat, Spa Day, Cool Kitchen, Moschino, Nifty Knitting, Romantic Garden, Perfect Patio, Up All Night.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Any gameplay will replicate this after 5-10 minutes.
What happens when the bug occurs? The game stutters in motion and sound, then freezes, then immediately crashes, leaving a blue screen of death with error CE-34878-0.
What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to play the game without crashing.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Maybe? I have custom lots and sims downloaded from the library.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. This problem only with the 1.33 update.
I don't have much more to offer than anyone else here, but wanted to add my post to the thread in the hopes that the more of us who report this bug, the quicker it'll get fixed. Even without the crashing, I'm experiencing extremely slow normal gameplay as well, plus some odd behaviors (Sims ignoring commands, or taking an extra long time to obey commands). Perhaps that needs to be reported separately.
Not sure if these can be answered here, but I also had a couple questions about uninstalling and reinstalling the game; if I were to reinstall from the original game disc, am I then able to choose which updates to install (avoiding 1.33)? Would the original game support the expansion packs without installing any updates?
