Forced update, lost save files

I’m on Xbox. The game has been loading slow and acting strange, which was already strange seeing as how it usually loaded fine, but today I got this EA Terms and Conditions screen after a forced update. It’s like my entire MULTIPLE save files no longer exist and it’s my first time booting up the game. I was deep in the current event, and it won’t show or load any of my old saves. To be clear, I played the sims last 2 days ago. It’s not like it’s been a year or two.

    Ok i turned my xbox off AFTER UPDATING (i had reset it before the update because it wouldn’t load ANY game, more an xbox issue than anything) and my saves are back, i DO have my packs, but they made me go through all the “you just bought a pack” screens. confusing.

    I did the update yesterday with no problems until today!
    Today the game just quit to xbox dashboard after playing for about an hour. When I restarted the game I had to go through all the settings/agree EA Terms & Conditions to then find the only option was New Game!
    I then restarted the console and my saves are back but all my settings were default. I've had to go through too many splash screens about packs, like I don't know what they do after months of owning them.
    Then after restoring all my settings back to the way they were, including help/tips/quests being off, I go back to playing just to get a stupid quest about the handiness skill, on a sim with level 8. I quit the quest and now I'm hoping it's just the normal buggy game until April!

    And I still can't fish on Sulani :(
