Game always need "download" when CC is added

Hi all! I've had this issue for well over a year, and I have lost hope on trying to fix it, but I decided today to give it one last shot because I love the sims. I own a Mac and for a couple years I would play the sims on it. Out of no where, CC became a problem. I know CC can cause issues if it is bugged/bad CC, but I don't believe this is the case. My game works fine if it doesn't have any CC, but once I add one item it tells me the game needs to be "downloaded" or needs to restart, but the problem is it only tells me that when I have CC in the game, and when I do restart or download again it continues to not work unless I delete the CC. 

I have never had this problem in the past with CC, so I'm very confused. 

I have already updated, restart, un-download and re download, deleted CC, try to find the bad CC and more. Nothing seems to work, and I really miss the game.
