Gameplay options is grayed out on Ps5

I cannot access the gameplay options at all on my Ps5. It's always grayed out & I have tried everything. While in an active game the only way I can even get back to the menu is to save the current game, close out the game completely and then restart Sims 4. Then the menu will come up.

An awesome YouTuber by the name of Chani_ZA tried her very best to help me because she also uses a Playstation but she couldn't find the problem either. Is there any way for me to get this issue taken care of?

    @BlissSims You need to load a save game for those to be come available as they are set per save game. They are always greyed out if you check from the main menu.

    Thank you. Unfortunately I tried that also. Still it didn't work.

    @BlissSims Moving this to console then. Hopefully a console player would know what to do.

    Do you have tool tips on console ? If so, do you get one on the greyed out option ?

    Hi there @BlissSims,

    Have you got the most recent SDX installed on your console?

    We'll also want to be sure your game is fully up to date with the steps here. If that doesn't sort the issue for you, let's try uninstalling and reinstalling the game as well.
