New Control Overlay Will Not Go Away

So I just got the for rent update and some new sims delivery (today is 12.15.23) and after I let Emily show me how to use live mode this new control overlay appeared on the right side of my screen. (it also gave me a $5k "reward"). I googled how to get rid of it, it said to press start (I'm on Xbox One), go to options, go to other, and disable control overlay. I did that and saved. I pressed start to make the start menu go away. The control overlay was gone. Suddenly simology, social groups, owned businesses, and build mode were glowing like they had something new. I opened the first three and closed them and they stopped. Then I went to build mode to make it stop glowing, and Emily was there. I let her give me tips, and when she was done, this annoying control overlay thing reappeared. I tried saving, I tried reloading, I tried enabling the control overlay and applying that setting and letting live mode run for a few seconds before disabling it again and applying that and going back to live mode to no avail. It's still there. It's annoying and should be able to be disabled. Experienced players don't want that covering the screen. Also, important to note, when I enabled control overlay again, the only change was that it said Control Overlay (picture of left thumbstick inside parantheses) and that went away when I disabled this, so it may not be a control overlay bug and may just be a new feature. This new feature may not be able to be disabled. It may just have a "turn off" feature in a different spot that I'm unaware of. That's why I'm posting here and not on the bugs report page. Is this intended? Can they unintend it? Lol please help me make this go away or at least let me know if I'm truly stuck with it. P.S. I tried disabling Emily to fix it too lol.

B (HOLD) + LS to Pan Camera

Y Cancel Current Action

X Live Drag Item

Right Thumbstick Toggle Follow Camera

It's on the upper right hand side of my screen underneath options like build mode and manage worlds.

Any help is appreciated. I apologize in advance if this type of post doesn't belong here, idk what I'm doing I just need help.
