New Control Overlay Will Not Go Away

@Squiddysquads FYI: this was not on a new save, I was very confused as to why Emily appeared in the first place, I figured it had to do with the update but I will add that another weird thing happened when I first launched the game tonight:
I chose my profile and it loaded no profile and acted like I had no saves and wasn't logged in. I just closed the game, opened it again, and chose my profile again and it was fine. Then it let me know there was a new sims delivery. I figured that maybe just made my game glitchy for the first time opening it with the update.
