NPCs become "very sad" when visiting lot

Since the patch on Tuesday Sept 26th, all the NPCs, including roommates, become "very sad" when they visit. I have tried rebooting the game and resetting the NPCs, but it does not work. This is getti...

I've only had the issue with visiting Sims or NPC "roommates", not the household Sims. 

I've also noticed no one, including the household Sims, can put books away in the bookcases 🤦‍♀️

Gotchya, have you tested this on other lots or a brand new save file as well?

As for the bookcase, do you currently have a backpack placed anywhere on the lot? We're tracking an issue that prevents books from being placed into bookcases if there is a backpack anywhere on the lot, please read over the bug report here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-Backpacks-prevent-books-from-being-put-away-in-bookshelves/m-p/12878081/highlight/true#M256968

    I will try the new save on a new lot 👍

    Yes! There is a backpack on the lot,  I will remove it and see if that helps.
