possible bug issue?

i play on console (Xbox One) when starting the game it brings me to a fresh start and i have to keep restarting it to get to my current households i left off at. this also affects the current gameplay settings i have placed when i do play with current households. and sometimes the game crashes when loading into cas or traveling somewhere or overall gameplay. and lags with animations which takes a sim longer than normal to do their tasks.
