Re: Console Controller Feedback

I was extremely upset after testing the new build mode when the new patch dropped and refused to build anything since. I realized that I couldn't fully discover how flawed it was unless I actually tried to build something and not just test it out/explore it. So for the past 2 days, I've been building 1 apartment which would've taken me only 2 hours with the old build mode. I kept having to stop because my hand was cramping and throbbing in pain. Here's only some of what I discovered:

• The undo button brings up the search menu
• The new way of selection had my thumb throbbing in pain after only 30 minutes of building (using the d-pad was much easier and took significantly less time and strain on my hand)
• Sometimes the controls switch from old to new and I am able to use the d-pad for selection (those are wonderful moments lol) and then I randomly have to use the cursor again in a mouse-like fashion for selection again ☹️ (it switches at the most random times, almost like every 20 minutes and it only switches for 1-2 minutes)
• It is very hard to find things when trying to "scroll" with a controller and not a mouse and keyboard, again, using the d-pad was much easier
• The scroll bar randomly disappears and I can't look through the items until it decides to appear again, this goes on for 2-3 minutes at a time (This wouldn't even be an issue if the d-pad was used for looking through, and selecting items like it used to be)
• The idea of not having to go all the way back to a category after selecting an item was a great idea but I had no clue that it would be executed by the screen being permanently half-covered by the items
• Picking a swatch is very tedious and difficult and even when you do finally get the swatch, when you select it, it selects the item next to it instead

My issue with the new build mode isn't that it's different, it's that it's poorly done. I was excited about the new until I realized that it was worse than the old. I guess you never know what you have until it's gone. I just want to build my new family home and nursey like all the PC players and enjoy the new update! ☹️ I was hoping with everything in me that it would be fixed along with the baby update, but no. I never complained about old build mode and I miss it so much.
