I've come to the conclusion thats the promblem is actually the ps4 store because it sees that you haven't bought or downloaded cats ans dogs into its system so your playstaion "dosent have cats and dogs" but as soon as you add cats and dogs to your cart it says you can purchase it but its really not fair since we payed 50 for the bundled hard copy a year ago and now have to buy something again it just needs to be fixed
I think they figured that out. And a working on a resolve. Or at least that's what the response in my complaint made it sound like. That it's a problem on the PSN end were if you bought the cats & dogs bundle disk it's not registering you own it since it's on the disk itself

Are you referring to when you load the game or open PSN. Because if you bought the disk the content is on there. The problem is the PSN is not recognizing the disk content because it's not downloaded from the PSN store it's on the disk directly. And the way the PSN store set it up is you have to have the content to download it. And since it's on a disk not downloaded directly ot doesn't think we own the DLC. I hope that helps.
I’m having the exact same issue! Last night I chatted with PlayStation and they were no help whatsoever. The person didn’t get what I was saying and definitely didn’t recognize it’s a PSN issue. They pushed me off to chat with EA games you also couldn’t help because it’s clearly a PSN issue. Is there any confirmation that they’re aware of this? It’s so difficult to try and contact PlayStation and I’m already frustrated because I also purchased the hard copy over a year ago as the bundle with cats and dogs

EA is aware of the issue they are working with Sony and Microsoft to get it resolved.
Is there an official statement recognizing the issue? I ask because I’ve spoken to both companies within the last 24 hours and neither one could understand the issue or mentioned this was being worked on. I’m trying to decide if I need to go through the frustrating process of reaching out again.

It sounds like the store isn't picking up the expansion pack is already redeemed on the account following the disk installation. 🤔 I've escalated this up and we're investigating it. I'll update this thread asap once I have more information to share. If you'd like to get a notification for when that happens, make sure to subscribe to the thread.

We are having the exact same problem. Please work on a rapid solution as my daughter is beside herself waiting for this update. We also have a PS4 Sims4 with Cat& Dog and are unable to purchase the My First Pet Expansion.
Well, except that this isn't the first DLC they've offered on console. I have not seen this issue before purchasing other DLCs electronically for the disc-based Sims 4, nor is there any logical reason why this scenario shouldn't have been considered well before releasing it...
- @EA_Lanna Thank you, The new pet icon doesn’t even show on my loading screen where you pick new game or load game where it shows what packs you have, it shows I have cats and dogs (disk) but ps store is saying I don’t own

I am so glad to see a solution is in the works. I got on since I am home sick(stomach virus) and wanted to play when I saw that the pets was missing. I was worried something was wrong with my disc or ps4! Hope it gets resolved soon. Thank you! 🙂

Well, I have the same issue on Xbox, and EA shuffled me to Microsoft, who, of course, told me that EA controls the pricing and told me to contact EA, so good luck of someone actually caring about getting this fixed, instead of just getting the runaround...
I got the same runaround from PlayStation and EA. Also, neither of them seems to understand the issue and it’s really obnoxious because it’s not that difficult. I feel like this could be fixed but the people who are supposed to help us just don’t have the ability to grasp the concept. The issue still continues on PlayStation and it’s now been a month. I’ve contemplated reaching back out to them, but it was so frustrating the first time that I really don’t have the energy to deal with it right now.

Hi everyone,
As EA_Lanna mentioned above and you have been guessing, this issue is related to The Sims 4 Plus Cats & Dogs disc version, which is not allowing the purchase of the pack for disc owners properly.
If you are on PlayStation 4 and try again today, you should be able to find My First Pet Stuff Pack on the Store and this time you should be able to purchase the pack. Please, let us know if you run into any similar issues.
Maxis continues working with Microsoft to resolve this for Xbox One disc owners of Cats & Dogs. If you are on Xbox One, please, subscribe to this thread as we will share any updates around this in here.

Hi, so I know this was if you bought the my first pet add on but I have the cats and dogs bundle and it is not showing up when I open the game. How do I fix that?
