Saves issue - Error Message: "The game failed to save: Error Code 0"
Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Microsoft XBOX One
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.22.93.2300 (64 Bit)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Seasons, City Living, Get to Work, Dine Out, Jungle Adventure, Spooky Stuff, Cool Kitchen Stuff, Grim's Ghoulish Guitar and Holiday Celebration Pack.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? By playing the game on X box console and implementing the cross devices Gallery items.
What happens when the bug occurs? Major Bug: Receive the error message, "The game failed to save: Error Code 0" and in spite of all of the previous troubleshooting techniques offered to other players in the community, still erases my manually saved and auto saved games. There is one save that I have left that I have been avoiding because of this issue. However, I accidentally opened it to find that many of the homes were not showing up (see image below). Sometimes the game will not allow me to save, while playing. Minor Related Bugs: Console connected to the internet, however, the Gallery has to always manually connect separately. Sometimes things in Gallery show as Corrupted. Images of Llama's with wings... I don't know what that means but looks like signs of a broken game.(see images)
What do you expect to see? I expect to see my manually saved and autosaved games. If the Cross device Gallery is going to be a "thing" now, I expect to be able to use it without corrupting my entire game - over and over and over again.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Latest Update when Cross Device Galley was implemented, Feb patch did not fix problem
(CM: Updated Thread title and removed copies of template)
- @MzMelonz I uninstalled and reinstalled everything, also cleared the Cache of the console. Things seem to be working again, though I have not accessed the Gallery out of fear it will corrupt again.
