Sims 4 cats and dogs ps4 disc not showing up

I have The Sims 4 Cats and Dog bundle (disc) for the PS4 but every time I open my game the pet part is missing.  If I try to open a saved game that has the pets it says that there is data missing! If...

@Loveici The disc is in the drive when you launch the game?

Do other game discs work?

Yes,I was able to chat with someone from playstation who told me that the regions no longer matched and that I would have to repurchase cats and dogs even though they are on the same disc!😢

    @Loveici You can probably get a refund for your disc from whatever retailer you purchased it from.
