Switching from Xbox One go Xbox series x

Did anyone have experience already with switching saved games and packs from the old Xbox One to the new Xbox series X? I am planning on buying the new Xbox, but don't want to lose my saved games.

Thanks 🙂

  • @befb137f95a73a3a Hello, my brother did this. His saved data (5 Saved games and Library) did transfer, only because of a cloud save. At the time, the XBOX One version of Sims 4 was unplayable, due to a game breaking glitch that happened in 2018. After getting the new system, there was some hesitation to try loading up Sims. However, once the game was free, he did load it again. I don't think he had to purchase the 6 DLC packs (what he had in 2018) a second time. However, he did have to buy them again on his Playstation with the same screenname (which has all of the DLC). The data wasn't even working anymore on XBOX One, but it loaded up on the current generation XBOX in about 20 minutes. He was able to purge the corrupted data (the Library had some corrupted files from shutting down abruptly) and it has been fine since then. Hopefully this information helps because we wondered about this for a while before he actually tried it, and could not find a lot of information online about the topic.

@Xemisa2World By the way, it loads really fast now, but just be careful playing. XBOX seems to have more Build Mode and Library issues than Playstation. Also considering the issues one of our systems (a PS4) in the family has had during the Reaper's Rewards Event, he is hesitant to play on XBOX right now because the Event has been glitchy on consoles, and there is no ability to save to USB on XBOX. Though you can clear the cache and save to cloud, and it loads a bit faster on current generation systems than on XBOX One or PS4, etc. By the way, the Rewards seem to transfer from PS to XBOX for the same EA Account.
