Term presentation missing after vacation

So a bit confusing, but I sent my sims family on vacation in sulani: at a rental spot I built. One of my sims is in university so I thought I’d bring along the presentation board and get him to work on it here and there. I had taken it from his inventory and placed it on the lot and he was working on it. I believe what happened was, I ended the vacation because I messed up something in the build which made it so the sims couldn’t get to an object and had to end the vacation in order to fix it. I got a pop up (I’ll attach a photo) saying that the presentation board was either put in his inventory or the household inventory. It’s not in his, and I sent him home to check the household inventory and it’s not there either 😭 when I sent the sims on vacation to this spot again, it wasn’t on the lot either. he was literally almost done the presentation and I can’t find the board anywhere. I even checked the inventory of all sims in that family.

wouldn’t there only be the household inventory for their home and not one for the rental spot? Because I can’t even open build mode while they are on vacation so I doubt it’s a matter of it being in some different household inventory because it’s attached to the family not the lot. I can’t find it anywhere. Help.

Very well done!! I'm glad your Sim was still able to ace his courses despite this snafu with his presentation board.

Hello @_awkwardlezbean,

If the presentation board went into the household inventory for the rental lot, any of those items are removed once your Sim leaves a rental lot, so you wouldn't be able to travel back and retrieve any items left there.

I'm afraid there's not currently a way to purchase another presentation board, but in the future if you need to edit a rental lot, rather than ending your vacation early and risking losing any of your inventory, you can use a cheat instead. The cheat you'll enter is bb.enablefreebuild and this will allow you to edit and build on any lot.

Funny enough, I did try to use that cheat when I went to edit it. I had googled it to see how to edit it while my sims were there, and when I put the cheat in, it still wouldn’t let me build 😭 damnit. He was on his second term, had all A+ so far and now he’s gonna end up with a B 😭
if I dropped out of this term, and then enrolled again, would that screw up his GPA?

If you drop-out, your degree progress gets reset and you won't be able to enroll again for 5 days. It may be better to take a hit on your grades rather than drop-out unfortunately.

@EA_Solaire Oddly enough, I had him study a bunch for that course and he still managed an A+ without it!

He’s def getting a big house party with lots of kegs😂 poor guy had no life for the past couple weeks and worked his * off. He earned it haha thank you for your help!
